The federation of 62 farmers unions have decided to convert the International Yoga day of 21st June 2017 into an International Corpse Day for Indian Farmers.

The Rashtriya Kisan Mahasangh has decided that the entire day will be marked with farmers lying down as corpses all over the country at intersections, railway platforms and other public places to register their protest about the sorry state of farmers in the nation.

This has been triggered by the police firing in Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh where Five farmers were shot dead by the MP Police during a protest.

The Rashtriya Kisan Mahasangh president said that ‘The farmers are now no better than dead therefore they have no option but to lie in Shav Asan (Corpse Pose) all over the country to highlight their plight.’
